Special-purpose vehicle with water cannon ARC-6,0-20 (5557) based on URAL-5557 is designed for the needs of the force structures aimed to realize rescue operations and provide technical support for the actions of the law enforcement agencies.

Fire fighting protection system
Deluge system of water and water – foam agent supply provides the protection of the fire fighting crew and vehicle from damages if ignition occurs. Manual operation.
Fire fighting water sprinklers:
- on the top of body, on the top of cabin
- under vehicle’s body
- in the wheel arches
- on the radiator grill
- at the rear part of the body
The body of the vehicle may be covered with special nonflammable protective paint (at the customer’s request).

Body:
- Special construction makes the entering of the riot participants inside the cabin or body difficult.
- The body is equipped with protective cover made of construction steel (thickness ≥ 3mm) and protective arches of rear wheels

Water and foam agent tanks:
- Water tank is made of construction steel (non - corrodible steel at customer’s require).
- Foam agent tank is made of non – corrodible (stainless) steel
- Cabin:
- Cabin glasses are equipped with the protective grills made of concrete steel
- Cabin glasses have the resistance class (protection from the small arms in accordance with Russian standards) – 2. That means that glasses are protected from the TT steel bullets 7,62 mm ( Pistol cartridge 57-N-134S with bullet Pst 5,5 g) from the 5m. distance.
The color scheme of the body and cabin, including signaling lights correspond to customer’s require.
